The modern and comfortable chairlifts of the three-country ski resort Steinplatte offer skiing between Tyrol , Salzburg and Bavaria on the highest level.
In summer the hiking area around Waidring presents a paradise for hikers and mountain bikers. More than 400 km of marked mountain bike tours take you from the Austrian Steinplatte to the German Reit im Winkl or to Lofer in Salzburg. The Tyrolean summer mountain railway Steinplatte also offers a mountain bike transport to the starting point of the tour at 1.659 meters .
